Dear Lynn,

Your message encouraged me but when I just went to the browse page and clicked new books. I saw date added, author, title and download daisy and BRF, but not a synopsis. I wonder if I missed something?

I also selected sort by title. The books appeared alphabetically by title but the date added and author were still first in the table.

When sighted people see books, the information most prominent on the cover, unless the author is mega famous, is the title. I wish the books were listed by title first, even before time added. When I'm browsing new books, I like skimming titles which is how most book shoppers look for books unless they are after something more specific.

I practiced with commands from JAWS help to navigate the table better.
A couple worked well or partially and I didn't succeed with others.

Here's what works for me with windows XP.

Windows key with down arrow reads a row of the table.

Windows key with comma also reads a row of the table.

Windows key with period reads straight down a column like all titles or all authors, but it reads at the speed I've set which is way two fast for browsing and the quick commands to slow speech down don't work. If I press windows key with comma repeatedly, JAWS reads the same title over and over. I was hoping to press something and each time, get the next title thereby being able to set my own pace.

Delving into how computers work is the opposite of fun for me. I am in heaven when somebody tells me what to do and I do that thing forever and it becomes automatic so I can enjoy things like validating or shopping without giving the hows and whys a second thought.

Good luck everybody! Things are bound to get easier.

Always with love,

Lissi

Hi Dan,

Unless I'm missing something, if you go to the "browse" link and than to the
"new books added" you will see each title under a separate heading along
with author, short synopsis and copyright date.

Blessings.

I too would very much like to see the short synopsis included with the other fields in book lists on the new site. It is rather disturbing to have to go
to another page to see the synopsis.

The lists I am thinking of are the list of new books added, search results
etc.

Thanks.
