I always found it easiest to just write my own short and long synopses.
(spelled with "es" for the plural.)

This is on Jake's site.

Information for the long synopsis can not be copied from a website like
Amazon or Barnes and Noble. The material on
those sites are copyrighted and should not be used on Bookshare.

I spoke with Gustavo about the long synopsis and book jacket issue. What
Gustavo says is not permitted is including quotes off the book jacket which
come from places like the New York Times, Amazon, etc. There is a copyright
issue related to including these quotes. However, there is no problem with
using the synopsis provided by the publisher , so it's fine to use it for
the long synopsis on Bookshare.
