After sending this message I realised that you were probably talking about the table of contents. In that case scratch what I said about placing the page number a line above the chapter title. What I said about thinking the lack of a space possibly being a problem for Braille users stands, but because I am not a Braille user I think it would be better for those who are to speak to that.

I think that might be a problem for Braille users, but as a synthetic speech user who usually reads books in continuous read mode I am not sure that it would make a difference. As for myself when proofreading, I place the page number above the chapter title with a blank space between them.
