It would effectively be an electronic Dyno labeler that would take Unicode text in, perform the Braille translation to G2 and pump out the characters and print information almost as quickly as the cashier can scan them. No one has a patent on this invention (yet) so we can make it without a bunch of lawyers looking over our shoulders and spending our money on legal hassles with the big and wealthy AT companies out there today. cdh -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Grandma Cindy Sent: Monday, June 30, 2008 2:59 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: ot braille labels on packages That's a cool idea. Would it have to be a Braille embosser? Would one of those other label-makers--are they called Dyno or something work? Or is that what you all use at home? --- On Sun, 6/29/08, Chris Hofstader <cdh@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > From: Chris Hofstader <cdh@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: ot braille labels on packages > To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Sunday, June 29, 2008, 8:28 AM > As I described, the Braille label embosser can be made for > little money and > would make grocery stores that bought one capable of adding > Braille labels > that can be affixed to our purchases.
