Hi Cindy, Yes, you need special software to handle .arc and .kes files. But there are plenty of .doc, .rtf and .txt files that you could help with. I think part of the reason for the massive mountain of books is all these textbooks; wonderful to have but intimidating projects! <grin> Kellie
