This is not the detective/series I was thinking of but another series that
looks interesting. And when I posted before and was looking for the
Norwegian detective I was wrong He's a Swedish detective -- but not this
one: Ake Edwardson's Erik Winter series (I don't know if Erik Winrter is
blind. The other series I was thinking of and really enjoyed is the Kurt
Wallender series by Henning Mankell. There are several books in that series
in the collection (I just checked). May be a bit gruesome in spots but
excellent --and, like the Adam Kaminski series is somewhat historical
fiction in that historical events and places are mentioned and important in
the story. -- that why the Kaminski summary reminded me of Mank'ell's
Kurt Wallender series
