[bksvol-discuss] Submitting Books to Bookshare for a Scan

I saw somewhere that we can submit books directly to Bookshare for scanning. I assume they shred them so that the ADF can hold them, and that we won't get the books back, because who'd want a shredded copy?

What if a book has something that will be difficult vo validate? For instance, books about card games where, when they show the cards, they have little picture icons of the cards, instead of something like js, qs, 9c, etc.? Would the Bookshare staff try to fix these, or would they decline the book, because it would be a lot of work?

Thanks,

Lora
