Well, I imagine you could search for "hard return quote space", and replace that with "hard return quote". I think that could work. That should cover the quotes at the beginnings of sentences. At least that will be quick for the ones at the end of sentences. Since print doesn't distinguish between opening and closing quotes, I probably will still have to do the ones at the beginning of sentences by hand unless Word will let me put an asterisk after the quote as a "wildcard" or unknown letter to search for at the beginning of sentences or the quotes in the middle of sentences. ----- Original Message ----- From: Anastasia Saridakis To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, June 22, 2007 3:33 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Spaces Between Quotes and Punctuation Marks Hi Linda I am sure theat my hyphen trick will work for you just go under the find and replace Chrl H in MS word 2003. put in the first box question mark space quote and the scond box question mark quote. and hit replace all. then do it for exclimation mark and the quote. It worked for me and I don't see why it wouldn't work.
