Hi, Everyone, We use Openbook 8.0. I had just completed scanning a 180-page book and had saved my file every few pages. I closed the file, but when I closed Openbook, the computer locked up. I was able to get my speech back and restarted the computer; I then ran a disc check and restarted the computer. I got the message that a serious Windows error had occurred. Everything seemed to run okay, but I did send the error report to Microsoft. However, when I attempted to open the book I had scanned and saved, the prompt said that the file was large and would take a few minutes to load. But when the file loaded, there were no pages. When I closed the file the prompt said that I might not be able to save all the attributes of the file with the program I was using. I attempted to then save the blank file in .rtf just to see what would happen, and again the file was empty. I originally created the file in .ark pre-8.0. Does anyone know if there is a way to recover this file? Scanning the book again is not the end of the world, but I hate wasted time. I gave all this information in case it might give someone a clue about what I might do. Thanks. Lori Castner
