I will give one hint: try sayin git aloud with the different ways you puntuate it. That is how I got the answer originally.

Wow! I could probably figure it out if I spent long
enough, but I'm temporarily stumped--and I thought I
was good at grammar and punctution.

That "that is" is that; that "is not" is not. Is that
it? It is that.
