Kathy, I can't help you with this passage, but I can explain a little
about the other. I've not tried Amazon peak myself, as I understand you
need to be sighted. However, I've used google books several times. You
can get there by http://books.google.com or by going to the main google
site and clicking on books. Once there, I have found the best results
are found by searching for the book's title in quotes followed by a plus
sign, followed by the passage for the book that you are looking for.
Example:
"Daring Rescue At Sonora Pass" + Drew turned away and watched the desert
floor as the  wagon raced north.
Books on google books are available either in full text, limited
preview, or snippet view. Books with limited preview or snippet view
will have some pages whose content is restricted. If the passage you are
looking for is on a page that is restricted, the search results will
tell you that this page is restricted.
