Netta: This is really funny. You want to know how to get Word to say paragraph mark, and I want to know how to shut it off. Only difference is that I am writing email in Word and it puts in paragraph marks instead of spaces. Driving me mad, but the funny thing is that when I go into Word 2003 and type all the paragraph marks shown me when writing email do not appear. If anyone can help either of us, thanks. I want my spaces back! Oh yes, interestingly enough, apparently this anomaly is only visual to me. Nobody has told me that they see it on the other end of my email. I would not even have noticed it except that I went back to fix something yesterday and there they were. I also have new line messages besides the paragraph mark between my words. And can someone please tell me what they are. LOL This goes back to the book I am proofing. I just "saw" on one of the pages where there is not a blank line after the page numbers and the text is next: blank line page number text And on another page it goes like this: page number blank line blank line blank line (and probably a few more blank lines) text OK question, if I follow the correct format and then delete all of those blank lines, would this "mess up" anything (like paragraphs marks, etc...) I think this is what happened with 2 books that were rejected before, I deleted paragraph marks and other essentials needed. I hope that I made sense in this email, if not please let me know and I'll try explaining again. Netta "Just because you are blind does not mean you lack vision"-Stevie Wonder
