If the text description is easy to follow then it will be useful. Smile.

My mom and i signed up for the class through our Local higher Education
Council and as several of my students, or prospective students are sign
language users, I figured it would be really helpful to learn this stuff
now. smile.

Dog ownership is like a rainbow.
Puppies are the joy at one end.
Old dogs are the treasure at the other.

I'd like a class in signing. My daughter's intersted
in doing it with her baby, and I've leaned several.

I've found several sites
online--http://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/pages-layout/concepts.htm
gives you a hundred signs "frequently used between
parents and young children," but many of them--time,
temperature, food, etc. can be used with anyone.

The site above is an ASL browser--click on a letter
and words appear to the right; then click on a word
to see how to sign it. There's a description and a
video but I didn't hear any sound description.
