Yes, I'd definitely change the author's name to the name of the editor.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Metadata question - authors vs editor

I'm proofreading a book that's a collection of short stories by
many different authors. The volunteer who scanned it entered
every individual author's name into the book's metadata author field.

Shouldn't the author field for the metadata instead have the name
of the book's editor?
