I uploaded Identical, by Ellen Hopkins, this evening
(i.e., Wed.). I have in my notes that Shannon
requested it, but I'm not sure which Shannon, though
if it's solsticesinger then she's on this list, I
think. Besides, I think a few other people wanted to
read it, too.

Jill scanned it and did an excellent job. A lot of the
formatting of the book was retained in the scan. For
most of the pages I tried to keep the formatting of
the book, too. A couple of pages I didn't bother,
except for the separations between stanzas or lines,
where I did put asterisks. I'm curious to know how
much of the formatting was retained, so if anyone
reads it, please let me know if it's all gone or if it
was retained.

Personally, I don't think all that was necessary. On
some pages, the formatting did indicate state of mind,
but there were not many of those. The first pages of
Kaleigh and Raeanne's parts are adjacent and written
in such a way that words or phrases separated from the
main text were the same.

Jill, I changed the Adult rating. All the reviewers
and my library systems designate the book as Young
Adult, but I did put in both synopses that it contains
profanity, obscenity, sex and incest.

It's an interesting book; if it were a movie I'd say
it was a little too long--and even as a book, in my
personal opinion, it would have been as effective
without the formatting and a little shorter--but I am
not a best-selling and popular young-adult fiction
author.
