[bksvol-discuss] How to scan books, is there more information

Hi All,
I've just signed up and am interested in scanning books to upload.
I've read the single page on this topic that I found on the Bookorg
website. Is that all I need in order to get started or is there a resource
for more information?
I wonder if it matters what quality your scanner is? What program should
you use with your scanner? The program that comes bundled with it?
I'm hoping that there is a file or a FAX that I am missing.
