The volunteer list is a good way of learning the practical nuts and bolts
of volunteering, book submitting, and validating.
So anyone considering this side of Bookshare would do well by reading the
list either prior to validating/submitting or in the early stages thereof.
The service that provides the actual list, Freelists, has the list open to
the public; hence, no affiliation with BookShare is required to subscribe.
And even if someone were only interested in the reading side of Bookshare,
by subscribing and monitoring the list,
they can get a feel for what goes on the inside of Bookshare by reading
the list, especially when msgs are posted by staff.

To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to
bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line. To get a list of
available commands, put the word 'help' by itself in the subject line.
