Hi Deborah,

Yes you can submit a Creative Commons book. We have several Creative Commons
books already in the collection. There's a metadata field called Usage
Restrictions, and the 3 options are: Copyright, Public Domain, and Creative
Commons. So it's an entirely valid book to be put in.

Thanks for asking! Carrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Copyright quandry

Hi all,

I have a book that I'd like to scan and submit. It doesn't have a regular
copyright, it has been published under a Creative Commons license. Here is
the notice:

Creative Commons (cc) 2006 by Dean Baker

Notice of rights: This book has been published under a Creative Commons
license. This work may be copied, redistributed, or displayed by anyone,
provided that proper attribution is given.

Does anyone know if I can submit this book to BookShare?

Thanks
Deborah
