Hi Denise,

Are you using Windows 7 or Windows XP? Thanks.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Check Out -- Where's the book?

I have never had this problem. I have/had a book on hold for me, I go to check
it out, click “Check Out”, and am prompted to Open or Save. I choose ‘Save’
and the box disappears. No file is downloaded, and the book disappears from
the Check Out page.

I go to the “My Checked Out Books” page. There it is. Okay, let’s try again.
I click on “RTF”. It asks “Open or Save”. I choose Save. Again, it
disappears. Okay, let’s try another route. I right click on “RTF” and choose
“Save target as”. Yay! It asks me to name the file and choose a location. I
do that and hit save. Excellent. But, wait...my file is not there. I do it
again, after all, I am human and could have messed up. I go through the steps
again. Same thing.

Alright, let’s try to open instead of save. I right click “RTF” and choose
“Open”. I am asked if I want to open or save. I choose Open. There’s a quick
flash – as if it wants to open – then disappears.

Any suggestions on what may be going on? Is anyone else having this trouble,
or is it just me? I can’t seem to download the book I need to proofread.

Help!!
