Julie,
Hi, Sue. I have a Braille Lite, and for now, it's fine. However, since I'll
be going back to school in January, I would like to have something that
would work with more formats. I'm working with my rehab counselor on that.
*smile* Anyway, just for reading, though, I love my Braille Lite Millennium
and haven't had any of the problems others have mentioned. I had an old
Braille Lite 18 that I got in December of 1996 and now a Braille Lite M40,
and I've loved them both. I think you'll be happy with it, should that be
what you choose. Take care.

Hi Mike,
I am very impressed with what you can put on your Braille Lite Millenium! Last summer I was invited by family for a month-long vacation! They included me in everythinng but I read while theey watched TV. Also, if I woke up at night and couldn't go back to sleep.
Having said all that, it meant asking the NLS to send a bunch of library
books in Braille to my family. They were more than glad to accept them and
then take thhem back to the P.O.,, but I would feel more comfortable about
it if I could have a bunch of books stored to read. What a space saver!
Plus, my family wouldn't have to cart them back to the P.O. I have just
about decided to go with a Braille Lite. Thank you so much for your info.
Sue

Hi Sue, Just to chime in on the discussion: I use my Braille lite Millennium to keep track of all 70 people on my caseload as well as to hold about 10 or 15 books at a time. The books are kept in flash memory. It also has a slot for flash cards.
Good luck.
