Cindy

I was wondering much the same thing. This would be a major positive step
for the service.

I believe, however, that perhaps the biggest challenge facing BookShare,
other than the inevitable financial ones, is being able to efficiently and
timely process the growing number of new submissions the system receives.
Globalization will no doubt also add to the new books pool.
We're seeing this growing pain in action with many books lying around
first in the step 1 validation pool and then later, once validated,
awaiting final approval.
If new submissions cannot somehow be more quickly processed and entered
into the book collection, I suspect we will here more complaints of why
this or that book isn't available.

I am wondering, thinking out loud now, whether or not volunteers perhaps
in Palo Alto or outside the office can somehow be put to work in this all
necessary final approval process.
