Hi, Cindy! I'll look around... I think I may have Roses For Mama. I don't think I was the original scanner, but I certainly don't mind submitting a cleaner copy. Take care!

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Books that need to be rescanned (added to collection in early days)

I have edited this letter that Bonnie wrote to me, since this is where the request should go (as well as to me to be added to the booklist).

I read many older books available on bookshare and have
read two recently that I feel are extremely poorly scanned.
I understand the reason this happened in the past and know
that books are scanned much better now but would like the
names of the two books I have found to be of poor quality
passed on to those who could make a decision about them
being rescanned if possible.

The books are Kelly's Chance by Wanda E. Brunstetter
and
Roses For Mama by Janette Oke.

I want to say that I appreciate all the volunteers who
both scan and validate books. I would never ask that a book
with few mistakes be redone. The two books mentioned here
are very poorly done and hard to follow. Scanning has come a
long way since bookshare first began, and I am in no way
criticizing the effort the person made with either of these
books. I appreciate the time they took. Since I do not scan
or validate books, I sometimes feel it would be best not to
say anything at all, but I have decided that there is
nothing wrong with wanting to make the books better and as a
reader that is a contribution that is valuable in its own
right.

Thanks so much.
