Allison,
Though the Beauty trilogy was written by Anne Rice, she wrote it under the pen
name A.N. Roquelaure. Could this be part of the problem in searching for it? is
still in print and can be purchased at Amazon.
Also it is in the Library of Congress Talkingbook Collection.
As to the Pearl, is it the collection of Victorian erotica? Again, it is
available through Amazon. I wonder if the subject matter has kept these from
your local library? .Can your library search for them through inter library
loan?
