Hi Cindy, I don't think you need the second asterisk in your example. When I format footnotes within the body of text I just use a space before the asterisk and then the footnote number. If this is within a paragraph I then put a space and continue with the text. Example: Sentence containing words. *1 Another sentence containing more words.
