Yeh, you're right. Actually I keep speech on all the time while
scanning because I listen to the book while scanning since it's
usually a book I want to read anyway.

You answered your own question. It happens, so you rescan the page. This is why I keep speech on while scanning/recognizing so that I pick up pages immediately if a potential problem such as this occurs.
