scan, chapter book for older elementary kids.
29. Superquake: Why earthquakes occur and when the Big One will hit southern
California- David Ritchie, former library hardcover, 166 pages plus endmater.
Chapter titles may be hard to scan and first word of each chapter is huge.

showing the feelings of a family, their home bombed to ruins in May 1942 after
a night of firestorm in the city where each took shelter in different locations.
33. Final Proof by Marie R. Reno, hardcover, 153 pages, a book editor is found
shot twice in the head, made to look like a suicide.Mystery set in New York
City book publishing world.
34. Last Tango in Brooklyn, by Kirk Douglas - Large print hardcover a little
oversized, an easy scan, 393 pages, Hospital librarian's career is going well
but her boyfriend is unfaithful, her roomate leaves her with unpaid bills, she
rents a room to a fitness instructor, they become involved, there's a death. A
romance which is sometimes sinister.
35. Chronicles of the Witch World by Andre Norton, 522 pages, like new, a
Warrior, a sage and a witch linked by psychic forces.
36. Renew the Face of the Earth, like new hardcover, I think is autographed by
the author, about 378 pages, about our planet being in peril...
37. No Virtue, 232 pages, library hardcover, A Masey Baldridge Luke Williamson
mystery, James D. Brewer, Williamson is a Mississippi riverboat captain in post
Civil War United States, He seeks help again from Maisey when his first mate is
implicated in the murder of a prostitute.
38. The Killer Thing by Kate Wilhelm, mass market paperback, SF, struggle
between a lone man and robot, both ordered to kill.

Western, a dream to scan, When the bank is robbed and the sheriff shot a
gambler with a mysterious past comes to town to form a pose...

Wormald, 196, 2 sets of pictures with captions, Softcover, Serious History
41. Chad and the Elephant Engine, Marjorie Filley Stover, hardcover, children’s
book, 74 pages. I think it might be set at a circus.
42. The Round Hill by Dick King-Smith, Children’s book, I think, about 84
pages, contains pictures I can’t see to describe, some full pages and a smaller
picture above every new chapter. This is a wonderful author, wrote the Babe the
Pig books upon which the movie was based.
