I checked out Sand Slough: yellowlegs, Blue-winged Teal and several Shovelers.
Then I tried to get to Horseshoe Road slough. The barriers are down on KY136
and the road is back to normal (thanks for the work of KY road workers), but
further along one of the sloughs is running across the road at a low spot and
it looked too deep for me to try.
On the way out there along KY136 there was a fuddle full of yellowlegs on the
left before the pavement ends. I didn’t stop to count.
Muddy slough did not seem to have any shorebirds.
But there were a lot at Wood Tract south. I needed to get out there but I
headed home. Maybe another day.
