The proposed budget does cut the funding to the Heritage Land Conservation
Fund by $2.5 million each of the two budget years. This fund receives
income from Nature License Plates and 2 other sources. It is used by
Nature Preserves, Forestry, Wild Rivers, KY Fish & Wildlife and KY Parks to
purchase land, and HLCF can make grants to local gov't, universities and
non-profits to purchase natural lands. I have not looked yet to see what
cuts may have been made to Nature Preserves.
And if this is inappropriate for this listserve, my apologies, I was just
responding to an inquiry.

I scanned today's Lexington Herald Leader story which provides a list of

Does anyone see something I do not?
