Hi, If you are in western Kentucky and want to go somewhere to see/hear lots of ovenbirds, I have a suggestion for you! I was doing a bird survey yesterday in Land Between The Lakes, on the Fort Henry trail system, and there was a section of the route where I was constantly hearing ovenbirds. (Every year I have done this survey route, there have always been a lot of ovenbirds, but I never thought to post about it before.) I don't usually come across a lot of ovenbirds around here, so I always think this trail is pretty neat. The particular trail I was on was the "Tennessee Ridge" trail of the Fort Henry trail system. This is on the very southern end of LBL (actually in TN, but pretty close to a lot of western KY folks). The trail is a bit weedy, so wear long pants.
