It was with mixed emotions that I welcomed back a pair of martins last evening. I would have preferred a warmer time for them. A co-worker is complaining about bird droppings on and around his car mirror. He was convinced it was a vulture sized bird. I will admit it is the worse I have ever seen, but convinced him it was likely a song sparrow or cardinal. Anyone else have another species fighting his own mirrored image? Grocery bags over the mirrors solved the problem, and he didn't have ice on his mirrors this wintry morning. Scott Marsh lexington
