I looked at ducks on both Saturday and Sunday on the Lexington reservoirs and surrounding ponds. A raft of 50 Ruddy and 60 Lesser Scaup turned into 4 Ruddy and 60 Scaup between days. At least 40 Redhead were counted on 2 ponds in the new stewart hall subdivision behind my house. Also included were a single Common Loon not yet in full breeding plumage, and a single dark phase Snow Goose. I also had a pair of Downey Woodpeckers flirting with each other in the backyard for hours; it was pretty cool to watch them flit and fly about.
