I went to spindletop to again look for snow geese , no luck, I did find one white-fronted goose, two longspurs, and a handful of savannah sparrows. Snow cover made the horned larks easier to spot, had around 60. Earlier in the week, starlings sought refuge from the cold in my hen house. I opened the door to the 4 by 6 foot coop to find easily as many as 50-60 birds inside. We have come to terms. scott marsh Lexington
