I was at veterans a bit last night too. Not a peep from the warblers for me
either, but in the morning I had 11 species spread throughout the park. No
thrushes though as the area I found most of them in last year has been
cleared for a new road. Peregrine and osprey would be new ones for me
there. Osprey was Maybe coming or going from the water treatment plant
ponds.

apparently on a good air, it never flinched as it rocketed out of sight.
Its altitude, pace, straight path, and lack of moving parts was very jet
like but it didn’t have a trailing exhaust. And an osprey settled into a
circle just north of me; could not be more than a small pond in the
vicinity, maybe it was trying to just gain altitude.
