For years I have fed my woodpeckers Purina Woodpecker's Wish, enjoying a wide
variety of my favorite birds and managing to keep one Ash tree alive as a
reward for my efforts. Unfortunately I have been told the product became too
expensive to produce with a limited user base and was being discontinued. I've
tried to find a substitute, using products from WBU, and other stores selling
birdseed/nut/fruit blends, but only the smaller Downy Woodpeckers seem
interested. Any suggestions on commercial or homemade seed alternatives?
