[birdky] Wild turkey question

For the last 3 days I have seen a single female turkey plodding her way north
on US 42 from Jefferson County into Oldham County.

She doesn't appear injured but I'm kind of worried about her since she's by
herself. She's traveled at least 4 miles in the last 3 days.

Any idea if this is common? I called Raptor Rehab (I know a turkey is not a
raptor), and the gentleman said that if she did not have any visible ailments
then she is likely okay. (He also said he didn't know too much about wild
turkeys.)

Any thoughts?
