Yes, I went twice last week in the late afternoon without any luck. It is
apparently still around, according to the original observer. I’m going to
try a different tactic day after tomorrow and go early in the morning. I’ll
post a note if I find it.
As an aside, the area is a crowded residential area with lots of people and
limited visibility of perches where a dove may hide along the streets. Not
very conducive to birding. I’m going to try sitting in one spot and
listening for it.
