Spent most of the afternoon searching Cedar Creek Lake trying to bird in
absolutely miserable weather...fog, rain, then drizzle, then snow (bad on
optics!)...There were waterfowl nearly everywhere I looked but many were too
far to ID to species with the weather, especially at Dock#2.(I included an
image on my ebird report of what it looked like!)
More Ruddy ducks, Common Loons, and now Horned Grebes were observed all over.
On ebird I reported 1500 unidentifiable ducks plus what I identified but the
overall number was very conservative! There were a few gulls, including two
Herrings and at least 15 Bonaparte’s and a few ring-bills.
