While visiting family in northwest Ohio was shown by my sister a newspaper
about 3-yes 3- Limpkins seen in northern Ohio. One each at Orrville,
Cleveland area, and Magee Marsh. Photos are supposed to confirm 3
different individuals in state with zero previous records. If these birds
are able to return to their Florida homeland, it seems reasonably possible
that may visit, at least as a flyover, Kentucky? Perhaps everyone should
keep their eyes open for the slight chance of seeing a possible true once
in a lifetime avian visitor.
On the drive home through Indiana I saw hundreds of Nighthawks drifting
southward.
