As I was leaving the yard this morning, I heard an odd call note. Looking up, I
saw about 50 large birds passing directly overhead. Hadn’t yet put on my
gloves, so I dropped them and pulled out camera and snapped some shots as the
birds continued south. Only details are they were white with black wingtips.
Call didn’t sound like Snow Goose. I posted them on ebird under the category of
gull sp. Not sure even that much is correct, but someone here might be able to
tell if that is the right ball park. When they dropped below the horizon, and I
reached down for my gloves there was only one. I accused Bridge of stealing the
other one. He continued to deny it as I searched the yard front and back.
Finally looked in the house and found that I had picked up only one to begin
with.
