I agree with Ben. I get some orange-yellow tinted ones at my feeder as
well, though none quite that yellow.

I think you have a House Finch with the yellow/orange variation that some
have (apparently related to diet). This individual may also have some
leukism, judging from the white tail and alula.

I’m very curious about this. The bird in the pictures is definitely not a
warbler of any kind. I believe it’s a female grosbeak, bunting, or some
type of finch. The thick beak is helpful for ruling out warblers. Can’t
wait to hear from someone who knows more than I do, as I can’t figure this
one out.

I must live in the same neighborhood because I too saw this finch-like

I think the bird in the video is a different bird than what's in the
photos. I've seen and heard the bird in the video at least a dozen times
times along the street and in my backyard, and I thought it was a pine
warbler. If it's not a pine warbler, I have an eBird report to retract:)

Everyone,

The last few weeks I have had a bird around the neighborhood that hasn't
looked or sounded correct.  My neighbor finally managed to capture some
decent pictures of the bird, so I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts as
to what this might be.  My first hunch is a yellow/orange house finch or
some sort of finch hybrid (but I'm not sure with what).  Aside from looking
wrong, the call doesn't sound right either.

I've attached one of the images to this message, but the remainder are up
on my OneDrive along with a video of it calling.
