We haven’t seen or heard a peep from our local Towhees since the bitter cold,
two weeks ago. I think I remember someone, since then, mentioned one with an
abbreviated tail but am wondering if others are seeing Towhees since the cold
snap?
The surrounding fields of winter grain turned yellow and brown, in the days
after the intense freeze. I was concerned that it was ruinous damage but
noticed, today, that most of it has recovered a healthy soft-green color. I
guess a couple of 60+ degree days can can work magic.
