The horribly humid conditions must be just right for flying insects because the
air is a swirl of Swallows, here, right now. They are coursing back-and-forth
over our southeast yard and garden, and the woodlot-pasture, across the road.
We’re estimating 40 of them, with mostly Barns and Northern Rough-winged, with
several Cliffs and a few Tree Swallows among them. There are even two or three
Chimney Swifts to ice the cake :-)
