Haven’t seen any sort of waterfowl on our place for quite a while. Today we
changed our routine and took an unusually early morning road walk because I had
an 8:30 A.M. dermatology appointment in Bowling Green. When we got about a
quarter mile out, Alison noticed some white birds by middle pond, which is some
distance from the road. They were Snow Geese, 9 of them. I hoped they would
still be there when we returned from Bowling Green, but they were not. Snow
Geese are so distinctive, one can tell what they are in a photo taken at a
range of .2 mile before dawn.
