I’m still focusing more attention to the ground than to the air since bloom
season isn’t yet over. But I had to file a short report today because I saw a
shrike for the first time in many many months. Its curse note brought it to my
attention. First spotted it on a power line mid farm, then later on the walnut
snag by the barn. Blue Jays disapproved of it being there and said so. Distant
