If you are not feeding unsalted shelled peanuts you may want to give them a
try. Really brings in the Blue Jays to your window feeders as they love them.
The Blue Jay is a first cousin of the Florida Scrub Jay which really really
love peanuts. This Scrub Jay is fairly rare and only in eastern central
Florida, especially vicinity of southern Merritt Island, NWR, on the road over
the RR tracks and on the way to the beach, and thick around the park entrance
station. However, where they are, they are usually in nice numbers and they
love unsalted shell peanuts and will sit on your hat and even your hand to get
a snack.
