Late yesterday afternoon, as we set out on a front field circle, I captured
what I thought was a Savannah Sparrow. On screen, it looks like it has white
outer tail feathers and possibly an eye ring. The strong light could have given
me a false impression. Image doesn’t look as big on eBird as it looked on my
screen.
Earlier in the day, while retrieving male hinges from the field gateways, I saw
a Harrier on a nearby fence post. Had camera with me, but failed to get it out
in time for a capture.
