We had a mostly cloudy day in the 30s on Thursday, but persistence paid off,
as we hit a new record for this count with 70 species in our thirty-second
year. Twelve birders turned up the following list; highlights included snow
geese (unusual in this land-locked county) and nice flight of cranes.
Kestrel numbers remain high. The only clear miss was our resident
screech-owl, who's been in the same spot for the last three or four years.
As always, it was a fine day to be out birding with friends.
