For any interested: (these are all from TN or MS) I have added a few photos that I've gotten of late, in a new album entitled 'January Ramblings'. These include several of a hutchinsii Cackling Goose from Britton Ford, as well as a couple of hybrid geese. The Cackling photos aren't very good, but show size and structure pretty well. Other photos are of 10 Red-tails sitting in a tree (when's the last time you saw that?; I never had before), a Merlin from the TN River Bottoms, and a couple of American Tree Sparrows at Britton Ford. To view: go to http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/ , January Ramblings is the last gallery at the bottom of the page. Clicking on the individual thumbnails will open the full-size photo. If you haven't seen them, and want to see some stunning images of Cackling Geese, take a look at some of Dave Roemer's photos here: http://www.biology.eku.edu/KOS/goose.html Good birding!!
