Walmart sells a set of waterproof bags back in the camping/fishing section for
$10. One of them is the perfect size for my camera and lens. Easy to carry. I
use it on kayaks and in the rain.

Have a hvy duty garbage bag, Not a thin Walmart bag, and if it rains.....
If you take pictures a lot, you may need other odds and ends, including a Lowa
back pack, believe the brand, that Best Buy sells for $135-145, one newer style
I was looking at the other day, you wear on the back-(that gear gets hvy), and
you can swing the pack around and take items out, w/o removing.
That Canon 100-400 is very popular. Sharp, clear focus pictures, flying or
sitting still.

I am looking to buy rain protection for my Canon camera with 100-400 mm lens.
Most of the rain coats I see appear to be designed for cameras on a tripod. I
however generally shoot hand held and carry the camera on a shoulder strap
where it rests by my hip.
Any recommendations on what I should look at. You can respond to me off list to
keep the traffic off the list serve.
