I went down with some friends into the Big Rock area of Cherokee Park today for a leisurely hike and it turned into a birding adventure. For the first time in 8 years I saw a male Black-thr. Blue Warbler. Other birds were:
Wilson's Warbler Blackpoll warbler Northern Parula Chesnut-sd. Warbler Nashville Warbler Tennesse Warbler American RedstartAt my house in downtown had an American Redstart singing. Had a Common Yellowthroat singing by the airport, and a Yellow Warbler and a couple of Cape Mays chasing each other in Highview- Fern Creek. Derby Day was indeed a good warbler day!
